On 21 October, Louise ran an AI literacy session for EMCC Global’s Thought Leadership series, hosted by Araceli Canedo Bebbington, EMCC’s VP of Thought Leadership, and Ozlem Sarioglu, EMCC’s head of digital. 184 coaches signed up.
It was great to see the top-notch engagement. Afterwards, 100% said the session was useful and practical, and that they want to learn more.
“I don’t know a higher rating. To be honest, that was a first for me.”Louise
We opened with a live poll on what coaches already do with AI, and the answers surprised us. 70% already use AI for proposals and programmes. Almost half use it for worksheets and workshops, 41% to reflect on their own practice, and one in five already has a knowledge garden their AI works from.
What we take from it: coaches already use AI to run their business. The next step is the coaching journey itself, for the client, between and beyond sessions.
We’re grateful to do this with EMCC, and we look forward to sharing more content together.

We’d love to share the 30-day AI workbook with you. One small AI exercise a day, built for coaches. Just reply to this email with “workbook”.
Can AI see what a coach sees?
Dr Roger Maitland’s EMCC-funded study asks a question every coach working with AI will face: when AI analyses a real coaching session, does it see the same patterns as experienced coaches? Three places are still open. Some very senior coaches have already joined, and we’d like to start as soon as possible, so please reply soon.
What you get: another perspective on the tensions shaping your clients’ work, a summary report, and a part in the evidence on how far coaches can trust AI with coaching conversations. New to CoachNova? You get 60 days free, covering the study period.
- 1Pick two clients, current or new, and run two CoachNova sessions with each. In English, at least 40 minutes. Clients give informed consent, and every session is anonymised.
- 2Review each session within 48 hours. Two to three minutes each.
- 3Complete all four sessions. Results are expected around April.
Registering interest does not commit you to taking part.

Your video, now with your own page.
Still Human is our video series with the coaches who shape CoachNova: what AI changed in their practice, in their own words. Ten coaches recorded one with us, and from now on, one of them gets the spotlight every week, on LinkedIn and on our website.
Every coach who recorded a video gets their own page on CoachNova: your story, your video, and links to your website and your LinkedIn. It sends people your way, and together we build more visibility, for you and for us.
First up was Chris Perkins, midlife transformation coach in Scotland. He asked his most risk averse client first. That client said yes, and so did every client after.
A big legal update, checked against the EU AI Act.
Most products meet their lawyer after launch. We met ours before we wrote a line of Coach AI.
Laura Foltina is an AI governance and privacy lawyer in Amsterdam, and the founder of FideAI. Over the last two months, we went through every line of our four legal documents with her, session by session: the terms for coaches, the terms for your clients, the privacy policy and the data processing agreement. They are now final, checked against the EU AI Act.
What that means when your client opens their Coach AI:
- Your client chooses. Sessions are recorded only with their consent.
- You supervise. You see a short summary of each chat and can open the full conversation when it helps.
- Clear boundaries. Medical, legal and financial questions go to the right professional. Signs of crisis go to a crisis line and to you.
- Data in the EU. Client data is stored in the EU. The AI model runs in the US under a business agreement that does not allow training on your conversations.
- Your sessions stay yours. Never sold to third parties or used to train AI.
What we take from Laura: trust is built before the first client logs in, and kept every day after.
Soon, the next time you log in, you’ll see the new terms to accept. It takes a minute. More on Laura in the next issue.
A private AI for every client you coach.
We asked coaches who don’t use CoachNova yet to read our homepage and tell us what CoachNova does, and what it would bring them. Their answers showed us where to make it clearer. So we rebuilt it around one sentence, with your client’s view right next to it.

It goes live this week. Tell us what you think.
Your Coach AI, on one page.
Several coaches are so excited about their AI that they are already talking about it with their clients. Then came the question: “Do you have something I can share?”
Now we do. One page your client can read, about coaching with you and your AI. We fill it in for you, in your words and your coaching style. If you coach with Coach AI, it comes with an animated example conversation, built from how you coach.
Here is one for a coach we’ll call Sam.
